Community Guidelines

Last updated: July 30, 2025

Welcome to the Zaymah AI Blog community—your home for meaningful, fact-based discussions of AI. We believe in open, interesting discussions and aim to keep our forums friendly and informative. To help with that, follow these guidelines whenever you comment.

They focus on sharing well-researched facts and a respectful, welcoming tone. These values resonate with AI ethics models (e.g., UNESCO emphasizes transparency and fairness) and with social norms (e.g., the White House History Happy Hour promotes respectful, fact-based discussion). Let’s make this a motivating and secure environment to learn!

Fact-Based Contributions

We love accurate, thoughtful contributions. When commenting or sharing:

  • Back up assertions. Use credible sources and links (articles, papers, data) to support any facts or statistics. Well-sourced information makes it easier for all of us to know more.
  • Verify facts prior to sharing. Handle rumors and unsubstantiated assertions like insects – squash or fix them before posting.
  • Anchor arguments in evidence. Pin discussions on well-researched facts instead of hearsay or assumptions.
  • Stay focused on AI. Make sure examples and data relate to artificial intelligence, machine learning, or our blog’s topic. Off-topic tangents dilute the conversation.

Humor tip: “Fake news” isn’t a new AI feature – don’t feed it here!

Respectful Discourse

Everyone here is learning, and diverse viewpoints help us all grow. Please:
  • Be polite and professional. Even heated debates should stay civil. Never resort to personal attacks, slurs, or hate speech.
  • Constructively engage. Talk to ideas, not individuals. Disagree respectfully and considerately.
  • Don’t troll or flame. Harassment or negativity won’t fly. (Think of our friendly AI moderator – helpful, not hostile!)
  • Embody inclusion. Be sensitive to others’ experiences and backgrounds. Harassment or discriminatory comments subvert our ideal of community.
Humor hack: Be as friendly to your commenting co-worker as you would to a friendly robot friend: curious, calm, and considerate.

Conversations on Ethical AI

Values apply to our AI-focused community. Remember these:
  • Encourage inclusivity and equity. Do not make discriminatory or biased statements. AI can amplify bias, so flag and normalize it accordingly.
  • Maintain privacy and safety. Don’t encourage the sharing of personal data. Incorporate best practices for protecting data in examples.
  • No illegal or detrimental advice. Do not request or give advice on illegal or inappropriate actions (e.g., cracking, plagiarism, writing malicious code).
  • Be truthful. When applying AI-authored content or source material from elsewhere, acknowledge it. Honest attribution builds credibility (in line with UNESCO’s call for openness).
Humor advice: Keep AI as a pet — feed it moral “treats” only, not shady “bits.”

Stay On-Topic & No Spam

Help make conversations meaningful:
  • Relevance. Stick to the topic of the AI blog (AI trends, research, applications, etc.). Off-topic spam and ads are not welcome.
  • No promoting yourself. This is not an ad board. Refrain from posting unsolicited links to products, courses, or other websites.
  • No repeated or irrelevant posts. Don’t spam threads with duplicate comments or off-topic memes.
  • Respect intellectual property. Don’t copy others’ content without permission. Quote or link sources where appropriate.
Humor hint: Selling hotcakes on our AI blog would be off-topic – save the sales pitch for elsewhere!

Privacy, Safety & Legality

We value your and others’ safety:
  • Respect personal information. Don’t post sensitive data (yours or someone else’s) such as emails, addresses, or passwords.
  • No harassment or hate. Hateful, extremist, or harassing materials are not allowed.
  • Legal guidelines. Don’t post or encourage illegal activities (such as piracy, hacking tutorials, etc.).
  • Report abuse. If you notice material that violates these guidelines, report it or inform the moderators. We want this space to be safe.
Humor tip: This isn’t the Dark Web – keep things legal and friendly!

Enforcement

By engaging here, you also agree to abide by these rules. If rules are violated:
  • Moderation. Posts that violate rules may be edited or removed by moderators.
  • Warnings and bans. Severe or repeated offenses may lead to suspension of your account or banning from the community.
  • Final discretion. Our staff and Zaymah moderators have the right to maintain the AI blog community’s respectful and constructive tone.
